The
President of the International Martial Arts &
Culture Federation Masashi Yokoyama Soke, who is
also the creator of Super Self-defense KOROHO.
Master
Masashi Yokoyama was born to a family of martial
arts experts. At a young age he was taught a very
traditional form of Japanese martial arts which
came from the Banshu Region of Japan. This traditional
Japanese martial art, which consists of the study
of hand to hand combat, was originally consigned
to the lower ranking class of Samurai during the
civil war era and was valued for its efficiency
in battle. At the same time he practiced Karate,
Chinese martial arts, and swordsmanship. |

His
numerous professional placements in South-east Asia, the
U.S.A. and in Europe led him to reflect on the efficiency
of traditional and competitive martial arts in the fight
against modern crime. Using his experiences in the martial
arts, he developed his own style, a marriage between efficiency
and simplicity, which he called KOROHO. |
